I am just getting back into Genealogy after a break of about 12 years.
This thread is dear to my heart as I would have loved to have found a connection back to John Bunyan and I think like most families who carry the name there is some tradition that we were related but without a scrap of evidence.
Unfortunatley when researching last time I found some pretty conclusive evidence that John's entire name line died out many years ago. This evidence can be found in the records of the Society of Genealogists library in London. To offer a straw to grasp too I think there was one son or grandson unaccounted for but the general consensus was that he died without marrying or producing offspring although no firm evidence is offered. Apparently the only record is of his birth and then in genealogical terms he just dissappeared
regards
Terry
