Samuel Franklin Bunting, Jr. was my dad's (Winfred Cox Bunting) brother. He was the s/o Samuel Franklin Bunting 1870-1933 and Effie Jane Coltrane 1879-1928. His wife was Clara Ozment who died at a NH last year. All their children are my first cousins. They had 10 children and four have died: Theodore, Ruby, Katherine and Margie. I have been working on this Bunting family 35 years starting from zero. I have a picture of Uncle Sam and his children. The Buntings in Randolph Co. descend from

William Bunting 1780-1827 and Abigail MNU ca 1780-1860. They lived 4 mi NWw of Asheboro off Old Lexington Rd. at Lake Lucas on the other side of the bridge. They are buried in Asheboro City Cem. downtown w/ a marker placed last Feb.

Solomon Bunting 1822-89, Co I 22nd Rgt, Infantry, CSA 1862 wounded and Louisa Smith 1829-1909, d/o Michael Smith b. 1800 Chatham Co and Mary Ann Richardson 1814, mar 1828, d. 1880.
