Charle Bunting 111
I have information from LB Hayes that you might be interested in. I am descended from John Bunting brother to Samuel and son of Anthony. My fathers name was Charles Roland Bunting and his fathers name was Charles Roland Bunting and his father was Charles Edward bunting and his father was John Bunting. LB Hayes sent me information on the forum that you might be able to trace your family. The best source is the Bunting Society in Lavenham, England. Mary Rix who lives near Bury St. Edmunds has Buntings all over the world in her computers and has many family trees already documented. I have the web site if you need that. Our ancestral home Bunting Field was given to John Bunting in 1285 AD by King Edward I as a land grant. It is in Derbyshire between Chesterfield and Matlock, a 112 acre dairy farm now own by Mr. E. J. Lee. It was in the B family from 1285 to 1819. The current house there now was built in 1638 by isaac and Ellizabeth Bunting, 2 sty. gray stucco. Connecting w/ it is the newer part built 1819, 2 sty, red brick. There is a B family burial ground a short distance back of the house. I have pictures of it from my visit there in 1990. Always glad to help/share. I descend from Anthony Bunting 1600-1700 and Eleanor Barker of Matlock, Derbyshire, England whose four sons migrated to the US, in 1683 and 1703. Always glad to help/share.
