Information on Charles Edward Bunting, ancestors and descendants are in the Bunting Genealogy Book by Elizabeth Koleda on pages 141 and 157. He was a descendant of Anthony Bunting, Wm. Bunting, Anthony Bunting 1600-1700 and Eleanor Barker of Matlock, Derbyshire, England. Anthony was the first in the family to break w/ the Anglican Church and become a Quaker for which he was heavily persecuted. Anthony's four sons, Samuel, John, Job and William came to America and settled in Crosswicks, NJ and Darby PA. Charles Edward Bunting descends from Anthony's son, John who mar. Sarah Foulke, d/o Thomas and Mary Foulke. Charles Edward was s/o Joshua and Elizabeth (Gerow) Golding Bunting. Charles Edward was b. 23 Jan 1828, d. 14 July 1890 in Esquimalh, British Columbia Canada. I have info in th B family in general on the internet that I can forward to you going back to ca 550 AD. Also, our ancestral home, Bunting Field, given to John Bunting in 1285 AD by King Edward I is in Derbyshire bet. Matlock and Chesterfield. It stayed in the family over 500 yrs. It is called Bunting Field today owned by Mr. E. Joseph Lee, Bunting Field is on the gate today, 112 acre dairy farm. Beautiful! The current house was built in 1638 and 1819.
