Wanda, great to hear back from you. John W. Bunting was the son of Martha Jane Griffin and W.J. (spelled out Wiley James) in probate records) Martha Jane Griffin was the daughter of Moses and Barzilla Griffin, of Fort Griffin fame in Bell County Texas. Best I can tell, all children born to W.J. and Martha Jane including John, were all born in Bell County. All children's names were John, George, James David or J.D., and Martha (Mattie). (There may have been a "Mary", but what's weird is this name only shows up in one census.) I am the GG grandaughter of Mattie, who married a JONES man. They had one son, James Elias Jones, born April 3, 1876 in Uvlade Co. Texas. All searches have come to a brick wall and was hoping John's line might have written something somewhere. I look forward to finding out how much you and I can peice together. I have information on W.J. and Martha Jane's line, as well as John's other brothers to share if interested. Take care. Renea
