James BUNTIN (b 1816 north IRE) came from Ireland 1832 and met his wife, Catherine SWEENEY/SWEENAY (b 1813 county down, IRE) aboard ship to America. They were married in 1832 and settled in London, Madison co, OHIO.
Catherine was Catholic, James was Episcopalian and was not known to have ever
converted. Catherine (long time widow) is buried in St. Patrick's cemetery in London,
OH (James? death and burial)

They had these children:
Wm. T. Buntin
Mary Anna Buntin married Edward BUCK
Margaret BUNTIN married Ben SWARTZ
Eliza Jane BUNTIN married Elo CAMPBELL
John E. BUNTON (notice o) m Eliza WATKINGS in 1871) (our direct)
Ellen BUNTIN unmarried school teacher
James BUNTIN married..wife name unk
Hugh BUNTIN
William (1nd Wm) BUNTIN migrated to Oregon?
Henry H. BUNTIN m Ella SMITH 1894)
Allen BUNTON (o) became a Catholic priest???

I heard that some of James BUNTINs children changed spelling to BUNTON and some to BUNTEN. I do not know about BUNTEN but our branch spells it BUNTON.

John and Eliza WATKINS BUNTON lived in Lawrence, KS where their daughter Lillian Elizabeth (one of 8 children) was born. Lillian married Clyde W. STOKES and had one child, Dorothy B. STOKES who married Leo M. MILLS. They had 5 children.

Except for names of SOME spouses, I have no info about other siblings of John--children of Catherine SWEENY and James BUNTON.

Would like to find cousins, descendants of siblings and others researching this family.
thanks. Patije Mills 1340 Rhodes Ave., Sarasota, FL 34239-2732; FAX
