Tanya: It looks to me like we are talking about the same person, but some of your information on Mary is incorrect. If you have been unsuccessful in tracing her to her parents, it's because the name Bowen was somehow mispronounced as "Bone!" Mary was the daughter of John A. Bowen, Sr. and Jane Wilson, and she was born in Jefferson Twp., Boone Co., Indiana. Her parents married in Nicholas Co., Kentucky, and their first son was born there. [Thomas Jefferson Bowen was my GGG-Grandfather.] Shortly afterwards, the family moved on to greener pastures in Boone Co., Indiana. Mary was the sixth of eight children, and one of only two I do not have an exact date of birth for. However, she married William Buntin on October 10, 1866 in Boone Co., Indiana. The Bowen family lived just outside the small town of Dover, where Mary's parents were two of the nine charter members of the church. They are both buried in Pleasant View Cemetery, as are several other members of the family. I do know that some of the Bowens moved down to Northern Missouri, as well as some of their Powell cousins. After the death of Thomas Jefferson Bowen, his wife moved down to live with one of her sons, where she supposedly died about 1919 near Bogard, Missouri. Patsy Melvina (Powell) Bowen's date and place of death remain unknown to me at this time [my GGG-Grandmother]. Let me know if all this rings a bell with you. I do have proof of Mary Bowen's family, as well as her marriage to William Buntin! It's just a matter if we're talking about the same couple -- which I believe we are! Craig
