NATHANIEL BUNTIN 1700's Pequannock, NJ

I am looking for the family and ancestors of Nathaniel Buntin. He was b. bef. 1776. There is a record of his presence in Pequannock, Morris Co., NJ. He served in the Whiskey Rebellion after the Revolution. He is associated with Hamilton Co., OH and his son Peter, (b. abt 1805 OH) with Clermont Co., OH. Family records show he married Sarah Gerrard, the daughter of Isaac Gerrard who came from VA and Rachel Hays. Nathaniel and Sarah's other children were Reason, Washington, Sarah, and William. I think Reason was b. abt 1794 OH.

There was a Ramoth Buntin(g) of NJ and later of Hamilton Co., OH area. I do not know if there is any connection between them other than the coincidental similarity of names. Ramoth does not appear in family records.

Son Peter m. lst Rebecca Justis, whose family is documented. He m. 2nd Elizabeth, the widow of a Mr. Mulloy. She is our ancestor and I would like to know her maiden name and of her family.

Thank you, Marion Buntin
