There is much to say about changing name spellings through the years. Really hard to locate family, ancestors. Many spellings and some looks and sounds totally different then the original. My search is for a family with indian heritage in its line. Buntin/Buntain/Bunton/Buntyn/Bunten. I have a family listed in ANderson County KY in 1870. Thomas Buntin est. 1844 Rebecca Buntin est. 1852 R. Buntin (female) est. 1804 Abe Buntin est. 1851 Sally Buntin est. 1853 James Buntin est. 1854 Etta Cox est. 1856 By documents I have come across I have found that Rebecca was born in 1854 in ANderson County KY. She married July 21,1875 in ANderson County KY to James Burgin. Rebecca and James children were no doubt indian blood. Although James was white. I have a picture of one of their daughters and family says she is spitting image of her mother. The picture says it all. IF no one knew her father, James Burgin, was white they would sware she was full blooded indian. Now which tribe I haven't a clue. Thomas Buntin married James Burgins sister, Malissa Burgin. Both couples were joined together at Thomas Buntin's home in Anderson County in 1875. In Spencer County Ky 1910 census James and Rebecca are listed living alone. I believe they died there between 1910-1930 sometime. It is the Buntin family that I am searching for connections too. Spelling in all areas on different documents. ONe of James and Rebecca's daughters died in Washington County Indiana. through other messages have found other Buntin/Bunton etc. moved through KY on into IN. When it comes to genealogy every angle is worth a try. I am not sure how the people in the census for 1870 Anderson County Ky are related and that is just another mystery to solve. I do know for certain it is the family I seek. If you have any info that may help me find this family I would gladly share all I have. Thank you in advance, Cory
