Hello Mary,
I too am looking for Buntain/Buntin/....etc. Sooo many different spellings. Mine are from KY. Believe me it has been a major search for them. AS for you Buntain in INdiana. Well , I did discover that there were Buntains in Cass County IN, Miami County, IN. Fulton County,IN. There also is a line that came from Augusta Va Then onto North Carolina then KY , Then onto Boone IN, and some to Clinton IN.

This is the LDS family search page. You will find lots of leads on that name there. Counties you might try searching in census records. If she had a social security number you could look it up at ancestry.com. Then request a copy of the original application for the card. It will have her mothers name and fathers name on it. Let me know if you have any luck with that. I'll take a look too.
