The father of Joseph Bryant Bunn (JoBe Bunn) is Needham Allison Bunn, b. 10 Jun 1846, d. 22 Feb 1914, who m. Nancy Flowers, b. 15 Apr 1845, d. 9 Jun 1926. Needham was a farmer in the Old Field Township of Wilson Co., NC (US Census 1880, Wilson Co.). He enlisted in Co. E, 7th Regt., NC State Troops, CSA, in Wake Co., NC, at ate 19. He survived the war and was paroled at Greensboro, NC, in 1865. He and his wife are buried in the Bunn Cemetery located on SR 1128 (Bunn Rd.), about 100 yards east of SR 1126 (Bailey Rd.) in Wilson Co., NC. Allison and Nancy had 10 children.
