Walter was born in Chestertown, NY in 1896. In 1900, living in Chestertown were Asa E. Bunker, b. Mar 1858, married 3 years but with a daughter age 7 and Mitchel Bunker b. Dec. 1852, married 26 years with his wife, Katherine who had had 7 children, with 5 living. They had two sons, Seth and William. William was born in 1888 and died in 1894, too young to be Rosella's husband. In the 1900 census, Seth is living in Johnsburg, NY with his wife Elizabeth and they had been married for 2 years. Seth was born in 1877. In 1900 he had a daughter, Mabel. I am wondering if Seth had been married previously to Rosella? If so, this family is descended from James Bunker of Dover, NH in 1650. Asa was Mitchel's brother. Asa was born in 1858 but his wife was born in 1874. Possibly she was a second wife and Asa could have been the husband of Rosella.
