If you have a Samuel b. 1670 son of John with a wife named Tamar Symons you are linked to the wrong person.
While I was researching family links I noticed that quite a few trees have Samuel b.1670 son of John linked to William in NC. The Samuel in NC was born 1676 and birth records clearly show a difference. One was born to John the other to William.
I think it nearly impossible they could have two separate fathers and mothers but the same wife and offspring. As I think that John and William are related I don't think this is the correct path. I have yet to find the correct wife for Samuel b 1670. This is not my line but I will continue to look.
As we link family members we need to be checking sources. Just because it looks like it has already been done doesn't mean it was done right. Honest mistakes happen. I try to check sources when I link. Most times I don't even consider linking to a family that is not sourced.
If I messed up your tree sorry, but thought you would want to know.
