Not sure I have much to share but I do know that William's son Robert Charles Bunch (b. 1826 in IN) married Delilah Ann Clawson, probably daughter of Fredrich Clawson & Agnes Ann Marlatt. Clawsons came from PA to OH to IN. Do you know what county in OH Shadrach was located in? Was this the ORIGINAL Shadrach or a descendant? My hunch is that William came to IN via Kentucky with a relative, perhaps his father or an uncle, named Ishmael Bunch. William married a KY girl, Margaret, last name could be Mullin or Mullins but not verified nor is her town or county of birth. There was an Ishmael Bunch in Randolph Co. IN about 1830 but he was described as an old man, squatting on gov't. land. Someone else applied for the land patent & Ishmael was evicted & his meager belongings including "pigs running wild in the woods" were sold. William appears to have settled in IN by 1822 (oldest son born in IN that year) but didn't own land there (in Jay Co) until 1838. He must have died between 1850 & 1860 as neither he nor Margaret are on the 1860 census. Son Robert reportedly was killed by a runaway horse perhaps around the end of the Civil War.
