I hope I am sending this message correctly as it has been a long time since I have used the Genealogy.com Message Board.
My cousin (who has helped me research my Bunch family) and I believe Solomon's lineage was;
John
Paul
John ll
Gideon
Micajah
Solomon
At least one record indicates Solomon and Micajah were traveling together from VA via NC to KY and Micajah lived in the same general area of south central Kentucky as Solomon. Also, we have eliminated any other Bunch men of the correct age as having been Solomon's father. As to Nancy, we strongly suspect that she could have been the daughter of William Rose who was in two of the same areas as Solomon.
I am surprised though your grandfather told you Solomon had no mixed blood because Micajah was supposedly a Melungeon.
You may have already told me but what is your line from Jesse?
This winter we have been fortunate to discover my Joel's parentage: After much research and study, we believe him to be the son of Burton Bunch (Solomon's son/Jesse's brother) and Mary "Polly" LeForce (daughter of Robert Samuel LeForce).
