Ruby Bunch was my grandmother. Her correct name was Ruby Mae Bunch, born 12/31/1899. She died in 1994. She Married John D. Worsham in 1920 and had two daughters - Ruby Elizabeth (my mother) and Lorraine. Both are now deceased.
She had a sister called Mary Bunch who I think was born in 1909 or 1910. Mary and Ruby appear to be mixed up on the decendents list. Mary married Ray Hansen and lived in White Sulpher Springs, then Lewisburg, WV. She had 3 sons, Ray, Gordon & Jeff.
There was another daughter born to Rollie & Mary Ella named Dorothy who died as a small child in the flu epidemic.
I have a picture of Rollie holding a deer that he shot. He died later than 1943 because I remember him and I was born in 1942. He died of prostate cancer in Covington VA. I remember being held up outside the hospital so he could wave at me.
Mary Ella died sometime in the 1950's.
I believe Hubert R was known as Dick.
Harry had a hardware store near covington at one time. I think his wife's name was cobbie and they had two sons, Harry Jr. & (?).
I think two of my grandmothers brothers died in WWII. Frank and not sure which other one.
My grandmother had a cousin on the Baber side named Hattie, and I think her sister was named Gladys. My Grandmother told me stories of visiting her paternal grandparents in Batesville, Va where they had a general store and her grandmother was postmistress. The store was still there as late as the 1970s.
