My father's name was Bunch. I would like to trace farther back. Here is what I know (very little!) My father, Charles Ray Bunch, was born in Texas (1930). One younger sister, Patricia, and a younger brother--Mike? (I knew him as Buddy.) His father, Charles Madison Bunch, married Hazel (I do not know her last name.) Charles Madison Bunch claimed A) that the family had "roots" in Missouri and B) that HIS GRANDFATHER was a Cherokee named "Owen."

I will be glad to help anyone find out more, since Charles Ray Bunch and Hazel, his mother, are living (although a divorce took me out of contact with them.) I am especially interested in finding out more about the supposed Cherokee "blood."
