Yes, Pouncy is a surname. I have a Susannah Pouncey b abt 1675 d 1743 who ma abt 1693 James Nuckolls of St Peter's Parish, New Kent county, Virginia. This is the same area where Pouncy Bunch's parents and grandparents lived. Unfortunately, I don't have much more information than that about the Pouncys.
