I think my husband's family may be connected. Connie and I have been searching for the Bunch family -- Connie for the link to Nancy Bunch, and myself for the link to Vina Bunch. Here's what we've pieced together so far:
Nancy Bunch married Elisha Peterson (probably in 1859) and is listed in the Polk Co. census in 1860 and in Dallas Co. in 1870. The Peterson family then moved to Arkansas and are listed in the Fulton Co. census in 1880. Their oldest daughter seems to have remained behind in Texas Co., MO when the family moved. She married Caleb Rhodes there in 1882. Nancy died around 1881, probably in Fulton Co., Ark. The Petersons eventually ended up in Oklahoma.
Another sister, Winnie Bunch, married Benjamin F. Brown in Polk Co. in 1866. The Browns were in Sharp Co., Arkansas (1880), where the household members were Benjamin, Winnie, and Margaret (age 14) Brown, and Elizabeth Bunch (age 57 -- Mother in Law). Benjamin apparently died sometime around 1898 and Winnie is listed in the Fulton Co., Arkansas census in 1900 and 1910 (when she is married to a William Jackson).
Yet another sister, Pheby, apparently married a Benjamin Perry in Dallas Co. in 1868 -- this from the LDS database. No further information on them.
Lavina (aka Vina, Melvina), I believe, married a Martin Flyn in Webster Co. in 1869. She is living with the Petersons in Fulton Co., Arkansas in 1880, under the name "Vina Wilson" with her three children, Martha, Joseph, and Minnie Flinn. In 1887 or 1888 she married a man from Germany, Peter Gargan.
Connie located the family in the Camden Co., MO 1860 census. Here's the information she sent me:

There were several other families from TN living next to the Bunch family -- Henry Cable being one of these. We haven't tracked down where the family was in 1850, but suspect they were still in Tennessee. In searching the AIS index, I have located a Henry Cable in Perry Co., TN in 1840. There is also a John Bunch in the same township. In 1850, Henry Cable is no longer in TN, but does show up in Camden Co., MO. There are two John Bunch's listed in Perry Co., TN in 1850. However, in 1860, there is again only one John Bunch in Perry Co., TN, but a John Bunch now in Camden Co. I don't have a clue as to whether all these individuals are the same people or not!!! I'd love to have someone do a lookup in the 1850 Perry Co., TN census for John Bunch (hint, hint!!!).
