He was shot 23 times and killed by Knox County Deputies on Aug. 23, 1934. He was my grandfather's cousin. He was born in Claiborne County, TN about 1910 or so. He was quite famous for robbing stores and moonshining. The Knoxville, TN Journal paper has him on the front page of the Aug. 23, 1934 edition laying on a slab in the morgue. Hope this helps some.
