A BIG HOWDY to you too, Dan. Thanks for the
follow-up on the Blue-Poe connection. I know
that there are lots of "Blues", especially
those from Indian tribes. My g-gr. mother,
___________ Blue that married a Marion Poe
sometime in the middle of the 1800s was probable from the Cherekee nation. My g-father always said she was from the Chipewa
tribes, but my father told me that she received a payment from the U.S. Government,
and the money was used to buy land in Georgia. I haven't been able to run that
down yet, but I'm still looking. There
could very well be a connection with the
ones in Texas, so I'll have a go at it.
