I, too, am an ARKANSAS BUNCH! My grandpa was born in Saline County . Eli Preston Bunch, born in October 1904-Died August 2, 1983 in Hope, Arkansas.(Buried there, too) He had a twin brother, whose name was Levi Thomas Bunch. All of my uncles were named after my grandfather's brothers:
these are my imeddiate uncles, and so on.
Eli Preston Bunch, Jr (born around 1940)
Levi Thomas Bunch (born about 1942)
Johnny Franklin Bunch (born 3-22-47)
Matthew Bowers Bunch(daddy:born 3-14-48)
James Travis (Bunch) Collins (named after the Dr. that delivered him--no more brothers. He was
born around 1955-and died 1995) He and their
sister got adopted out after their mother died, they were still babies. (under 2 or 3)
Denise Ramona (Bunch) Cates (adopted name--
she was about 3 months old when their mother died around 1957 or 58) We have no record on their mother except her name on their birth certificate, and the town she was from. I would love to surprise my family with that data!
My grandfather was either Choctaw or Cherokee Indian. Either, my great grandfather, or my great, great grandfather was Indian Chief. My father has a cousin named Sally, but I think she died a few years ago. (Or 1980's maybe) From the Little Rock area. I'll keep searching on the ARKANSAS BUNCH, and let you know if I find something that might help you.
