HELP!!! My sisters and I are trying to trace our lineage and are having a great deal of trouble in doing so. My grandfather, George Allen Bunce Sr., died in 1941 when my father, Lawrence Frank Bunce, was only a few months old. My Grandmother, Julia Margaret Bunce (nee O'Har), died in 1959. Because my father was so young when his parents died, details of their lineage is unknown. This is what we know: George Allen Bunce Sr. was born in the NY/NJ area in about 1910. His father, my great-grandfather, was Lemnual Bunce place/date of birth/death unknown. George Allen Bunce, was an artist and supposedly gave art lessons to James Cagney. George Bunce is referred to in Cagney's autobiography..... George and Julia had seven children: Raymond O'Har (used my grandmother's maiden name), George Allen Jr., Robert Ashlay, Calvin Charles "Tubby", William (Anketel or Oshenloft...we're not sure), Katherine, and Lawrence Frank. After my grandfather died, my grandmother Julia O'Har had two more children Maureen Atkichunas (who married John Feeney) and Joseph Atkichunas. If anyone has any information that may help us WE WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!!!! Even if you don't have info we could use, we would appreciate being pointed in the right direction....how were all of you able to get so much information on your family? Sincerely, Michele Bunce
