Hi...seeking help finding a Mr. Bumpus who was married to Bessie Schwartz. Bessie was born in Jackson Co., IL in 1894. While researching her brother, Leslie Chester Schwartz, I learned her married name was Bumpus from his draft registration card. The card also stated that she lived in San Diego..this would have been about 1942. Bessie's "real" name might be Elizabeth but I've only seen her as Bessie. If anyone can shed any light on this couple for me, I'd be very grateful.
