The Bumpas moved to Livermore Falls around 1810 and lived within the Kennebec (Androscoggin) County within Livermore Falls. They were related to the Perrys who lived in Wayne, Maine and to the Wings. They moved there from Barnstable, Massachusetts. I hope this helps....

(Unfortunately they are a collateral family so I have not any information past 1780 or thereabouts on Bumpas descendants. You may wish to look in Rochester, Plymouth, Massachusetts. There are extensive Bumpas histories on-line. My great, great grandfather, David Perry, was married to Mary Bumpas. They lived in Rochester, Plymouth, Massachusetts. Their daughter Patience married a Besse (also a name of that area) and their son married Mercy Handy also from the Plymouth area. Those are all Plymouth names, so I am certain you will find what you need there, perhaps.)
