DNA test

This past week on the BUMP-L web list it was proposed that male descendants of the 3 major Bumpass lines consider having a DNA test done.

The DNA test requires that only male descendants may be tested. The proposal was to clarify once and for all whether the New England, Virginia, and North Carolina very early Bumpass lines were related. The test is very simple to do: the testing company sends a kit which just requires that the person to be tested swabs the inside of his mouth two times to get the DNA sample. It is then mailed back to the testing company for comparison testing to the other DNA samples submitted. The cost of the DNA test depends on how many men agree to be tested.

If any of you really want to settle the question abt the various lines being related then help us find Bumpass (all spellings) males that might participate in the DNA test.
