There is the possibility that Columbia Ellen was the same person as Elenor Bumpuss. I have a gggm that was named Eleanor but appears in records as Nellie.
B.J., have you done a chronological chart to show when and where each child was born to W. E. Taylor and Elenor Bumpuss?
There was a Taylor family in Hanover Co VA that moved to Logan Co KY in very early 1800s. Billings, Armstrongs, and Biggerstaff families also settled there and in ndighboring Muhlenburg Co KY. They 'drifted down to" Davidson, Wmson, and possibly Wilson Co TN.
