You probably have all your answers by now, but in my original records which were handed down to me from a family member in the 70s, I have Robert Bumpas wife as Sarah S. Bumpas, her father being John Bumpas, Jr. and mother, Hannay Morey. Grandparents are John Bumpas, Sr. and Sarah Hunter, Monathan Morey and Mary (Bartlett) Morey. If this is correct, I assume Robert and Sarah were cousins. My greatgrandfather, Gabriel Jones Davie, married his first cousin the first time he married, so this was not unusual for this family. Incidentally, since I have been doing research, I have found a Sarah S. Bailey married to a Robert Bumpas and another place I found her as Frances Sarah Bailey. These people continued to give their children the same names generation after generation, which makes everything very confusing for the ones searching now.
