Dear Sir or Madame;
My name is Michael Warren Boltz. I'm from Kitchener ON Canada. Greetings!!! I really enjoyed your website, and as a Canadian I have a sincere affection for anything Scotland or UK. lol My bride to be is even half Scotish.
I came across your website while researching my own name surname BOLTZ.
Sadly, it isn't my fathers. I have never met my Dad. Its my Mothers name Phyllis I. Boltz. We are both white and born in Canada. Kitchener Ont.
I really dont know exactly where Boltz with a Z comes from originally. I know that its likely German, Austrian, Dutch and or Swiss. Maybe even Danish or from Norway.
Perhaps, Boltz became Bolt or Bolts??? I know in the US it has a few spellings.
In the Americas it would appear race mixing happened as matter of necessity. lol Germans, Brits, French, Scots, oh what a mess!!! lol
I have found Boltz's that are French, German, Austrian, Jewish, American, mixed races (African, Spanish and or white), and also of UK. IN Canada There very few Boltz's with Z. I know them all lol. Just about.
IN the US, its a very famous name. So are Bolt's, Bolts. :-) NOW I'AM CHEERING FROM USAIN BOLT to win the 100 meter lol
I wonder where he got the name from? ;-)
I have a few leads to the name Bolt(S) (Z) and I'am ever seeking to solve the mystery of its original beginings.
If you'd like further information, contact or have something for me I'd be delighted to chat or exchange e-mails.
Thank you for the wonderful site!!!
LONG LIVE BOLT'S of all kinds and may Usain make our name famous!!!
Respectfully, Michael Boltz
