Kim,I've just started researching my Bulson line. My grandmother was Mary (Marie) Bulson
born New Windsor, NY. Her father was George Marks Bulson b. 1868 in Tompkins Cove, Rockland Co., married to Harriette Ryan. I am trying to locate info on his parents, particularly his father, William Frost Bulson married to Charlotte Gillio. I am trying to trace my line back to Egbert Van Borsum born about 1605, Amsterdam Holland, settled in New Amsterdam in 1638, capt of the ship "Prince William." He's my 12th great grandfather so I'm trying to trace back. He and his wife was Annetje Antie Hendricks. They were the said to be the first couple to be married in a church in NY (the Dutch Reformed Church) He owned the first ferry from Long Island to Brooklyn. The entrance to the Stock Exchange is on the land that was once owned by the Van Borsum family. The name was first changed to Bulsing and then to Bulson. I will keep my eyes open for Benjamin and Sarah Bulsons in my research and any connection from my line to yours. Good luck!!The information I received was from a letter written by my great aunt,Harriette Bulson Galu to my grandmother in 1973. Both are now deceased.
