RENE BULMER/FRENCH HUGUENOT/IRELAND

Rene Bulmer left France with other Huguenots during the reign of Louis XIV he fled to England or N. Ireland. I don't know just where in either country. He was supposedly in either one of these places after 1685. I know little else about him. The name has been changed from Rene to Rainey and Bulmer (Bullmer) to Boomer. There are records of them in Belfast, Ireland. Family history handed down tells of his meeting William of Orange when he arrived in N.Ireland on his way to defeat King James II. He was noted as being a blacksmith in this army. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
