Children of Edward Bullock of Granville Co., NC

In the 1820 & 1830 censuses of Granville Co., NC, Edward Bullock and probably his sons are always close in proximity to Nicholas Byars and David Byars. The tax records from 1801 forward also attest their being neighbors. David Byars, born 1795, was a son of Nicholas. David Byars reportedly married to Nancy Bullock, who was born in 1793. They had two sons, Anderson, born 1811-1814, and Henry, who died a bachelor. This couple did not stay together. David had some bastardy cases in Granville Co., and he and Nancy had probably separated by 1820. In 1827 David married Sally Haley in Granville Co. David and Sally Byars moved to Weakley Co., TN, by 1835.

Anderson Byars and his mother, Nancy Bullock moved into Williamson Co., TN, about 1835. Nancy kept the Byars/Byers surname and always lived adjacent to her son, Anderson. She died in Hickman Co. in 1885.

Nancy owned a slave in her own name and always seems to be prosperous. It seems Anderson Byers/Byars depended on her and they did business jointly at times.

It stands to reason that Nancy Bullock was a child of the Bullocks who consistently lived as neighbors to Nicholas Byars and later to David Byars in Granville Co. Was she a child of one of the Edward Byars? There is a Leo and Macajah Byars near to David Byars in 1820. John D., and a Leonard Byars were neighbors to David Byars in 1830.

Is there data that could help establish the parents of Nancy Bullock born 1793?
