Walter Lawry Buller b 1838 was the brother of my GGrandfather Joseph Fletcher Buller b 1849 (plus others)
Their parents James Buller b 1812 & Jane Tonkin Martin 1808
James Buller (Rev)was a Missionary here is the early days of NZ. This is well documented with his papers and letters
preserved in our national archives. All his letter were addressed to his mother & the two books he wrote made no reference his family background. Rather he wrote about his experiences here in the colonies.His parents were James Buller b abt 1771 & Jennifer Redfern. His grandfather was also James & Unknown d Exeter.
My Grandmother spoke of Redfers as being a Cousin (probably 2nd cousin) but the connection remains elusive.
