I have also seen that according to the 1830 census, there was an Alpheas Bullard living in Monroe County (Town of Penfield) NY as well as a Fisher Bullard (b. 1786) living in Rochester, Monroe NY, but he would seem to be awfully young to be the father of someone born @ 1804...possible, particularly if 1804 is a little off. Does anyone know anything about either of these two families?
Another thought... According to LDS data, there was a Ben Bullard born in 1806 in either Milford Worcester MA or Holliston, Middlesex MA who married and Eliza S. Putnam in 1825. I can find no other records of them. Perhaps Eliza died and Elnore (Elmore) was his second marriage? I know, a big jump in documented facts. But, given the proximity of these areas of MASS to Monroe County NY and the shaky evidence that Benjamin was born in Greece, NY, compounded with the fact that the dispute over state boundries wasn't resolved until the very end of the 18th century, is it plausible that they are really the same Benjamin Bullard?
Hoping a more experienced researcher has some suggestions.
