Have you visited the LDS online site? There is info on Griffith and his wife Hibaba Young, who married Nov 11, 1734 at St Philips, Charleston, SC..those church records are filmed and rentable at your local FHC..film @s oo23339 and 0845161.
When researching someone it's always a good idea to see what you can find at the LDS...while much is undocumented, and may only be accepted as clues, this has an actual event record....I'd sure rent that film if I were you...who knows what else may be there. Earlier I send 2 of their children's births in these records, and there may be more.
