I was doing some searches tonight for other Bullard relatives and found you note.Here is some information you may find helpful.
John A. Bullard, b. Jan. 20, 1844, Tennille, GA (my hometown)d. July, 16th 1923, Age 79, wife was Mary Elizabeth Cullin, b. Dec 13, 1846, d. Jan. 6th, 1933, they were married April 4th, 1865.John enlisted Sept. 10th, 1861, private; wounded at Seven Pines, Virginia, May 31st, 1862, discharged, disability, Sept. 17, 1862 at 18 years of age, on hopsital duty at Americas Georgia at close of the war.Served in Company A. 28th Regement, "Irwin Volunteers".
John's father was Lewis Bullard and mother was Elmira Peacock.Lewis signed the secession papers of Georgia as a representative of Washingto Co., Sandersville, is the county seat.Tennille, is about three (3) miles south.The Bullard home still stands today, Lewis and John are buried on the plantation in a family cemetery.
My family line also runs through the Bullards, via their daughter Elizabeth Cullin Bullard.
