John Carroll Adams was born in 1747 in SC, married 1 Mar 1784 in Richland, SC, and died in 1840, in Rhea, TN. His parents were Richard Adams, b. about 1715 in Beauford, NC and Mary Unknown. John Carroll married Sarah ?? (I have seen reference that her last name was Captain, however, this may be confused with John Carroll's rank in the Rev. War). Sarah was born 10 Sep 1760 in SC, and died 25 Jun 1852 in Richland, SC. Their children were Richard Joel Adams b. unknown, and Ann Rona Adams. Ann was born 2 Jan 1781 in Richland, SC and died 25 Jun 1852 in Tallapoosa Co., AL. Ann married Pierce B. Bulger in 1804 and John Troublefield in 1816. I have tried to find the connection to President John Adams family, which is what I have been told. I have not been able to find the connection.
