i have a john bulger married to a catherine (ryan i think). catherine was born in new york. they had 8 children of which 7 survived to adulthood. thier daughter, ida is my great grandmother. she became a canavan. john came from ireland, he was born probably about 1836, his first born is edward born in 1864 in the brooklyn. this is the general area that most of this family of this generation lived. there follows john jr., james who i think dies before he is 10, kate, mary, ena,and henry know as harry. does this help? i'm trying to find out where in ireland they came from. beth
