A book in the Court House Records room for the public to use is called MARRIAGES OF RICHMOND COUNTY. Page 30 shows he married by 2 Aug 1748 Jane Wright, widow of John Wright who died intestate in 1736; she died testate in 1790. COB#10 p 398; COB#12 p 158; DB#11 p 286, 375; WB#5 p285; WB#8, p 65; see Thomas Wright p 236.
On p 236 it shows Wright, Thomas married Betty Jacson(sic) with Edmund Bulger as the bondsman. It further states that in 1748 Thomas, son of Jane and John Wright, is about 15 years of age.
I did not ask if they actually had any of the marriage bonds. I did not get copies of 3 of the references above listed, as this is not a line I am researching. My interest is in the father of Jane Wright's first husband John Wright, Sr, who bequeathed his blacksmith tools and the land in Richmond Co. to his son Thomas, born in 1714. For some reason Jane's husband John, Jr ended up with the Richmond Co property. I do not know Jane's maiden name.

Will Book 8, p 65 is Jane Bulger's will. In it she leaves the land she now lives on and possesses in her own right, to her son John Bulger, and after his decease the land is to go to John Bulger's son (and her grandson) Thomas James Bulger, but in no case to her eldest son Edmund. The will is witnessed by Geo Lee Turberville, Mary Bulger, Gracey Bulger and Solomon Nash. Will written 16 May 1785. Then on the reverse side she added, on 21 May 1785 that she gives her bed & furniture to son John, a ewe and lamb to grandson Thomas, and to each of her daughters a Trunk apiece. She also gives her son John a chest with a lock and key. George Lee Turberville also witnessed this part. John Bulger, as executor, presented the will to the court and it was admitted to record on 1 February 1790. It is a shame she didn't spell out her daughter's names. She also does not mention her child Thomas Wright that she had with John Wright, Jr before he died.

Will Book 5, p 285-286 is an inventory of John Wright, dec'd in 1736 and does not contain anything about Bulger.
I have no way of knowing whether any of the other 3 references mention Bulger or not, but you could contact Richmond Co by mail and ask them.

I hope this helps you if you have not yet found out any of this since you posted your query in 1999. If you are aware of this, perhaps it will help someone else.
