I wrote a message to this forum last year. Had some flaws which I will correct. I have also found some new information on the family, but would like to see if I can obtain more here on the Bulger Message Board. I have recently found the missing daughter of Thomas Bulger and Sarah (Keppler) Bulger. They had a son named James and two daughters, one named Margaret and the other named Susannah. Thomas and Sarah came from Shenandoah County Virginia. Thomas was from Virginia originally, and I believe Sarah Keppler came from Maryland. Thomas was in the War of 1812, and James was in the Civil War. Shortly after arriving here in Preble County from Virginia. The oldest daughter Susannah was married by a Phillip Ammerman on Nov.20, 1843.As far as I know, they had the following children: Sarah,Mary,John and Rachel. Phillip lived close to his father John Ammerman. Margaret married my Great-Great Grandfather Lewis Craig. They had the following children : Mary,Benjamin,Thomas, Amos, and Sarah. How,why, and exactly when Lewis died is still somewhat of a mystery. The only actual proof of death that I have is where all of his belongings were sold so that Margaret and the children could be supported. A couple of years later, Margaret ended up marrying a Joseph Stover. Thomas died here in Preble County at the home of his son James on 8 March 1879. He was 85 years old. Sarah died at their home by Bantas Creek on 28 March 1864 at the age of 71. If anyone has any knowledge or information on this family, or think that they my be related, please contact me at: douglas@infinet.com.
