Marsha I got new info!!! We were from Cobourg, Ontario Canada before Minnesota. Then many off to Buffalo, NY. We have a HUGE family in Cobourg, ONT. Many Bulger's from there related to us. Here is an e-mail I sent to a cousin of mine, containing some of my family:
I have been getting a ton with the Bulger's. So far I have learned that Mr. and Mrs. Bulger (I don't know their names, I do know the woman was name Julia though, she was born in Ireland in 1805) came to Cobourg, Ontario around 1843 (probably between 1837 and 1846). They had several children. The ones I know so far are (in order): Michael, Edward, Thomas, Catherine "Kate", and Bridget Bulger. I believe they all married. Michael Bulger (born 1826) married Margaret Fitzgerald and had at least one child. The one I have is Julia Bulger born May 15, 1868 (this from Cobourg Baptismal Records). Edward Bulger married Mary Mulhol of Ireland. They had Mary Bulger on October 29, 1858. Catherine "KATE" Bulger born 1835 in Ireland. Married Michael Mulhol born 1834 in Ireland. Lastly, Bridget Bulger did marry. She married Peter Keogh and had Catherine Keogh who was born February 7, 1861. Through the 1871 ONTARIO CENSUS we should be able to find MARY BULGER (who was Edward's wife, Edward must of died a few years before census), THOMAS BULGER, and MICHAEL BULGER and their families. They are listed on there, I searched a head index. Julia Bulger is also on there listed with her daughter Kate Mulhol. Kate's husband Mike died year of census. If you can get your hands on this please check into it, I know our answers are there. I know our Catherine Bulger (later Wallace) is on there, I bet she is with the Mary. I NEED TO GET MY HANDS ON THE BAPTISMAL RECORDS, THE ONES I FOUND SO FAR WERE ON THE SAME PAGES AS THE KANALEY COPIES I HAD. WEIRD HUH? EVEN WEIRDER MARY WALLACE'S HUSBAND JAMES KANALEY WAS BORN ON THE SAME DAY AS MICHAEL AND MARGARET BULGER'S DAUGHTER JULIA. I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GET THE RECORDS AT ST. MICHAEL'S IN COBOURG. I AM SENDING A COPY OF THIS TO JOE AND REGAN KANALEY, COUSINS OF OURS THAT GAVE ME THE ORIGINAL COPIES. MAYBE THEY CAN SEARCH BULGER FOR US. ESPECIALLY 1861 FOR CATHERINE BULGER TO FIND HER PARENTS. again, please write back. Where can we find these baptism records and census records? Do you know since you are with the MORMONS?
