Hi Blanche:
My mother's maiden name is Todoroff. Her father Boris (my grandfather) was sent to Canada by his family to save his life. Apparently, the Todoroff family was very wealthy and several males in the family were sent out of the country to preserve the family. Rumor has it at least one brother was sent to the USA as a child. Could that be James? My grandfather would have come to Canada over 65 years ago, around 1935 when he was approximately 30 years old, so he would have been born around 1900 - 1910.
