I am not sure there is anything here, but, my wife, Rosemary, is an Evanoff and we are not exactly sure when her grandparents came to the USA, but we know it was before 1928 when her mother, Mary Evanoff, was born in the USA.
Her mother was the daughter of Steve and Mary (Kalapis) Evanoff. Mary had one sister, Anna, who is older but we are not sure whether she was born in USA or not. Anna married Peter Georgeff (b. 1897, d. 1972). We are not sure when they were married but probably between 1920-1930. As far as we know, they lived in the Detroit area. Anna and Peter had two children: Mary Ann and Steven.
The family is quite fragmented these days, so family lore is not very available. Anything sound like a match? If not, I would appreciate any leads you could suggest. This is probably the most difficult line I am researching. Thanks.
