The reason I advised you to try the Bulgarian Forum, was that I search the Internet for the name 'Lubovka'. Got only one match --> Something about a person borned about 1750 in Lubovka, Melnik, Bulgaria.
It's obvious that the place has changed name. But if you search for Melnik, you will get a lot of info. (It's a town in the south of Bulgaria) Maybe you can try and contact some people in Melnik, you'll find a lot of homepages or perhaps you can contact the administration of the city of Melnik.
(I don't know Bulgaria, I'm living in Norway, just using the Internet)
