I do not know about your family, but I know that finding any info in Bulgaria is difficult.Did your relatives naturalize and become US citizens? If this is the case, you can obtain citizenship records from the courthouse that they used. Also, you can contact the National Archieves. On the naturalization papers is a place of origin, date of arrival in the US and the port. You can use this info to search boat records. Also, have you tried the census for Washington. There is quite a bit of info on them also.If they were in Sofia, if you would like to email me more info, I have three different frineds that have either live there or have relatives living there.I can pass that info on to them and see what they can come up with. This was how I found a cousin still in Bulgaria. You might also try typing that last name in and looking for others with that last name in Bulgaria and the US.It is possible that there might be some connection there. There is also a web sight called Bulgaria.com that you can post messages on a message board.I posted mine under general messages and recieved a lot of info and support. It is a long process, but definately worth it in the long run.You can email me at [email protected] and I will pass the info along to my friends.
