Try Jefferson, Adams, Amite and Franklin Countys in Mississippi. Buie was common in early days. Also many from that area moved to Arkansas (Pike and Clarksville area) and the Quachita area of Louisiana(Morehouse Parish today) and was called Prairie Jefferson. I think most of them came form SC. to MS.
