Article from the 'Confederate Veteran' magazine, dated Nov., 1918, page 493. DUNCAN ALEXANDER BUIE, one of the oldest Confederate twins, died at his home in Buies, N.C., on Oct. 3, 1918. He would have been 85 years old on Nov. 12. His twin brother, DANIEL CALVIN BUIE, survives him. He was the son of Archibald and Flora McInnis Buie and was born at Philadelphia, N.C., 1833. They were in their junior year at Davidson College when the war began, went home and enlisted in Aug., 1861 in Capt. Malcolm McNair's company. After the surrender at Bentonville, he walked home . Survived by his wife, who was MISS KATE McGEACHY and 2 daughters; also 3 sisters and 2 brothers beside the twin, survive him. --- { This is not my family} Notify Administrator about this message?
