Looking for a specific line of Buies. My grandmothers maiden name is Sadie Buie, the youngest of three.(Ossie-sister & Clarence -died 1988). The children lived with their mother near a place near Bunkie,La called 'the burn' c.1910. Father-Eula Monroe Buie was one of about 5 kids don't remember their names now but found them with their father James Gussie Buie in either Avoyelles or St.Landry parish 1880. By affidavit, Bordeaux H Buie ,who was James's oldest brother, remembers his fathers death near mobile, Al. c. 1840 . Their father Malcom Buie &wife Rebbeca Bordeaux were leaving mobile and Malcom died trying to fix their broken wagon( the wagon fell on him). Now as Bordeaux remembered it, Malcoms father was Archibald& mother was scot but couldn't recall the name but all their children(a good number) were born in NC , but no one knows where? This Archbald was supposed to be the son of an Archibald who had come from Scot. to fight in the revolution and married a Sally Mcfatter who was supposed to have died in childbirth. Has anyone found anything that would tie in with this?
