Buick

I can place (with authority) John Buick 1822 - 1914 from Montrose Scotland. Came to Australia mid 1800 as seaman and ship builder- jumped ship ans stayed here. A very large family has resulted. He and wife Francis produced 17 children. I drew a blank when visiting Scotland although family name was still living there. Perhaps some of the family went back and forth to Ireland producing other branches. My research indicated the family Buick were land owners. Records say that they drove horses over the family property. Can anyone shed any light.
Thanks
Heather Linnett
