Buice-Loveless Marriage, GA, late 1850s

In the Fulton County GA census of 1860 we find Mary E. Buice living in what appears to be a rooming house in Atlanta Ward 5. She is 22 and identified as a "grass widow," which means that she is separated from her husband.

I believe that Mary's birth name was Loveless and that she is the daughter b:1828 to Seaborn and Nancy (Hail) Loveless in SC. Her widowed mother, Nancy Loveless, 50, resides with her in Atlanta.

Does anyone know the first name of Mary's missing husband and what might have happened to him? I am guessing that they would have married between 1857 and 1859.

This Loveless group resided in Cherokee Co, GA in the 1850 census. It is possible that Mary met her husband there, or in Fulton County, or in a couple of other North GA counties.
